Magical Cinderella Glass Slippers from Louboutin {Tuesday Shoesday}

July 7, 2012 - by Preeti

It is not Tuesday Shoesday but I couldn't help myself when I read about Christian Louboutin creating a pair of Cinderella shoes for Walt Disney Studios.

The glass slippers in real life!

Fairy tale shoes for a fairy tale story.

"Her character and her story dictated the design to me, it was all there in the pages and the words of this tale," said Louboutin. "Cinderella is not only an iconic character when it comes to grace and fairytale love, but also shoes. The dream is a major factor in my language of design. There are no limits in the world of fantasy and there is always a happily ever after."

Design:

  • Louboutin's trademark red soles
  • Delicate crystal-adorned lace with two sparkling butterflies rest on the shoes - one landing on the vamp while the other sits closely behind atop of the heel, gently brushing the ankle.
  • Swarovski crystal covered heel

The best part is that 20 pairs of these special shoes will be given away by Disney and Louboutin as part of the pre-launch to the Cinderella movie on Blue-Ray in October. Yay!!! We all have a chance to be a Cinderella.

Details about the contest will be announced August 17th and I'll be sure to share the details.
