Fashion Show Review Part II {Sunday Chai Time}

August 18, 2013 - by Preeti

Hey lovelies! It's Sunday!! What better way to spend the day than to relax, enjoy a cup of chai, or coffee, and catch up on the week's happenings.

There have been so many fashion shows going on in India right now, it's hard to keep track of who's who. Last week, we went over a few of the jewelry and bridal shows, and this week, we have even more.

I highly suggest clicking on the links if you want to see lots of beautiful and unusual bridal outfits and jewelry. Your eyes will thank you.

We started the week with a dreamy teal and orange creamsicle color palette. It's bold, it's soft, it's lovely!

To get your wedding planning in high spirits, or to get back on track, we presented 7 movies for wedding inspiration. Watch these movies, and you'll be so happy to write 500 wedding invitations!

At Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week, JJ Valaya married the beauty of Spain with India. It's not to miss!

And speaking of beauty, Kangana Ranaut wore a stunning ombre lengha for JJ Valaya. Aren't you in love?!

Continuing Aamby Valley Bridal Week (we covered several shows the week before), Falguni & Shane Peacock presented a muted bridal collection, while Shantanu & Nikhil was all about soft, vintage-like gowns.

And Nargis Fakri wore a shimmery lengha for designer Ashima Leena.

#WeddingThrowbackThursday featured India's favorite couple, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Need I say more?

We finished off the week with a collection of real brides and designerwear of gorgeous white lenghas and saris for your fusion wedding.

Emily & Adam's Rustic Indian Jewish Wedding {Portola Valley, California}

When I first saw these wedding photos, I fell in love. I fell in love with the bride's sari. Call me silly, but I have a soft spot for beautiful, vintage brocade saris. But this wedding gets even better. An intimate affair, a jai mala under a chuppah, a Hava Nagali dance, what better way to celebrate Indian and Jewish cultures?!
