One of our favorite Bollywood girls, Dia Mirza, got married this past weekend!
Squeeee!!!
She married filmmaker Sahil Sangha at a farmhouse in New Delhi. Their wedding was decorated with white flowers and streaming white fabric, looking a beach boho wedding meets the farm.
For the wedding outfit, Dia decked out in a Ritu Kumar lengha in gold and turquoise. We love the unusual color combination and dig the non-red look.
A couple behind the scenes photos by the wedding photographer, The Wedding Filmer.
Husband wore a classic white sherwani which contrasted beautifully with the red garland.
Dia wore a single strang tikka with a left side jhoomer and a multilayered necklace. Everything about her jewelry was understated yet regal.
At the wedding reception, Dia wore a Shantanu and Nikhil peach and cream lengha and an emerald bib necklace. Love love love!
Throwing back to the earlier wedding events, for the mehndi, she wore a Ritu Kumar outfit. Ms. Kumar told Vogue India,
“The neck is deep and worked in embroidered gota patti on net, like the technique used at the time… The gold metallic taar used is of silver worked in gold thread and dori, to give it a stylized plant inlay look. Each panel is highlighted with a flowering buta. The odhni is fuschia worked with small butis of the same beaten gold gota patti, a fuschia brocade deep sinjaf finishes the edges of the outfit.”
At the Sangeet she wore a bright purple and gold lengha with gota work. We especially dig her curly locks and free flowing hair for the event.
And the palm style mehndi, such a popular look today!
Congrats Dia, our Pakeezah lovely!
