Ohh lovelies! A beachside wedding! What a shimmery way to get married. Earlier we featured a fabulous New York City wedding on the beach, and this time we’re heading to Riviera Maya in Mexico.
The wedding planners at Destination Weddings, shares Priya and Jigar’s story.
Funny enough, Priya and Jigar’s love story began at a wedding, when Priya’s sister tied the knot with Jigar’s best friend.
Strangers at the start of the day, Priya and Jigar couldn’t ignore the chemistry they felt and, by the end of the celebration, Jigar had plans to visit Priya in Tennessee.
Two months later, Priya moved out to Boston to be with Jigar and the rest was history! That is, until they found themselves on the shores of Mexico to say “I do.”
The pair fell in love with Azul Sensatori in Riviera Maya the moment they saw it, but the love affair continued when they found that the venue has its own greenhouse full of freshly grown herbs and vegetables. With the help of her planner, Priya was able to completely personalize their special day to fit their lifestyles and personalities.
Between a vintage globe as a “guest book” to using names of cities they had traveled as table assignments, Priya and Jigar’s love of travel was integrated into their destination details.
Outside of the wedding festivities, the couple took their wedding party on a catamaran ride for cocktails and snorkeling among coral reefs for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. In fact, Priya and Jigar enjoyed their stay in Mexico so much that they’re entertaining the idea of returning for their one-year anniversary.
“There is so much to experience there and we just didn’t get all the time to do that during our wedding week. Plus, it would be nice to go back to where it all started for us,” Priya shares. For Priya and Jigar, they’ll always have Mexico!
Priya encourages soon-to-be brides to take the time to think of every wedding day detail, so everybody can have the best time possible. She also shares that the moment goes by very quickly, so enjoy every second of it! When asked about their destination wedding experience, Priya and Jigar agreed – “best experience EVER!!”
