I can’t stop saying how fun this wedding is! Baishaski and Chase married in North Carolina and chose to incorporate both of their cultures. They had a classic Bengali wedding complemented with Western accents like Audrey Hepburn and the cute couple’s initials in lights.
The first half of the day was the Bengali ceremony as family and excited friends looked on. Bride Baishaski wore a cream sari with embroidered beads and crystals, a modern take on the classic red sari.
Her mukut (head piece) was the perfect match to the grand gold dangling choker necklace. I can’t get over how gorgeous this necklace is.
Both ceremonies were held at the 21 C Hotel and Museum in Durhan, North Carolina.
The second half of the day was an American ceremony.
Baishaski changed into a Western style white dress with lace sleeves and pearl accents. Even her maid of honor went for the fusion theme with a beautiful pink dress.
In between the ceremonies there was time for photos at the American Tobacco District in traditional Indian wedding outfits. We are digging that elegant cream gold sari Baishaski!
What is perhaps the most fun detail of all is the couple’s love for classic romantic movies. At the wedding reception, Baishaski and Chase created play on words posters for movies like Casablanca, substituting their faces and the word “Carolina.”
Too cute! Table numbers were named after classic movies as well, like the holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life.
Oh and these name place settings in movie style “action” boards.
And the wedding cake was a classic style film strip in black and white. Adorbs!
Congratulations Baishaski and Chase! Thank you for allowing us all to be a part of your romantic comedy!
