Sana & Philip's Chic Pakistani Fusion Wedding at the Renaissance RVA
After meeting ten years ago at a Wings Restaurant, Philip popped the question in front of his and Sana’s friends and family members during their Halloween housewarming party.
Sana said, "Yes!" and together they captured videos and pictures dressed as Linda and Bob Belcher from ‘Bob’s Burgers’.
After taking a couple of months to enjoy their engagement, the couple started planning their November wedding, choosing to wed in Western-style garb and then change to Pakistani finery for the reception.
For the western secular wedding, Sana wore a sweetheart cut white wedding dress with a large matta patti with jhugroos. Her Pakistani wedding sharara was cream with soft pink and heavy embroidery. Philip wore a contrasting sherwani in black and white with a red turban.
Philip and Sana created a copper pipe frame that held keys that served as place cards, and their sendoff car belonged to Philip’s father, who built it in their garage during Philip’s childhood.
Other special parts of the wedding were the LED-light balloon sendoff, and for Philip, walking his grandmother down the aisle before the ceremony.
Sana advises couples planning their weddings to settle on larger decisions – like venues, food, photographers, bridal gown and cake – early on. “Everything else was pretty small, compared to the big things,” she says.
Thank you so much for sharing Sana & Philip, we wish you the best~!
