10-10-10 Wedding Love

Posted on October 22, 2010April 11, 2013

October 10th, 2010 was a special day for thousands of couples. Some sources estimate that more than 36,000 couples got married in the United States alone!

Even though the Chinese are having the inauspicious Year of the Tiger, 101010 was an exception. 10 means perfection in Chinese, and balanced numbers tend to be auspicious (8.8.8 , 7.7.7, etc.).

For those of you who love The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, you will no doubt recognize that 101010 from binary form to decimal is: 42! The meaning of life, the universe and everything else.

Well, I have a special wedding to show today. No, it’s not the IKEA wedding either.

It’s my wedding on 10-10-10. It took place at the Gothenburg City Hall in Sweden. We had only 17 people; perfectly small and intimate.

That looks like a wonderful day indeed. Not to mention the numbers (and stars!) seemed to have lined up in a great way. Great capture with the rice!
