Katy Perry married beau Russell Brand this past week in Jaipur, India.
According to the Daily Mail and other sources, she was fully embracing Indian culture by getting a nath (nose ring) done.
“Rather than have the piercing in India, she chose to have it done in London instead, where she has been staying with her future husband since jetting in from LA last week,” wrote the Daily Mail UK.
Unfortunately it was a lie and a hoax. The gold chain from the nose ring? It was attached to her sunglasses. Now, while I am impressed that she went through the effort to show everyone her fake real nose ring, it was crass and cheap.
Indian brides wear nose rings, fake or real, on their wedding days. Girls who wear fake nose rings at their weddings do not prance about when they disembark from an 18-hour flight looking like underbaked potatoes.
In my opinion, Katy has done a disservice by insulting Indian women who work hard for their weddings to look beautiful, dress beautiful, and be beautiful. What Katy wore looked like a pair of sunglasses with a fake chain bought at the dollar store.
Katy, you may think you’re an Indo-California Gurl, but you’re nothing more than Stockton trash.
major FAIL. i thought she was catholic anyway. what would the pope say?
i kinda like it but i geuss i can see how its disrespectful.
Who is looking at that nosering when she’s got Russel Brand by her side? 😉
Bahaha! So true!
