Katy Perry not only offended people the world over – and writers on this blog – with her fake nath, but now it seems she and new husband Russell Brand also got charges brought against the resort where their wedding was held.
According to E! Online, the Aman-i-Khas resort where the Brands’ nuptials took place has been charged with violating noise laws. The district has a strict 10 pm noise curfew, probably because there’s a tiger reserve right next door (tigers are an endangered animal, by the way!)!
But Perry and Brand’s most recent trip to India was not without controversy. In addition to avoiding their own charges of disturbing the peace – by skipping town, errr, fleeing the country – Brand’s bodyguards were also involved in a scuffle with photographers just before the ceremony.
Authorities in the state of Rajasthan, India, are still trying to determine whether or not any laws have been violated, with possible penalties for the resort ranging from a fine to jail time.
Here’s a thought for your next trip overseas. How about trying to respect a country’s laws and customs? Maybe do a little research before going. Or maybe just don’t go at all…
It’s not just Katy Perry’s fault. I think the resort should be at fault too for not following the rules.
They should have be carefull of Indian Laws before coming for sure !
