Wedding Gown Progress: Stays

Posted on November 18, 2010November 21, 2010

Hey Lovers,

If you’re like Preeti, and are into doing things awesome for your wedding, then sometimes you need a friend like me. A friend that willingly agrees to make you a wedding dress based off of 18th-century fashions, including appropriate undergarments.

I’ve been working on Preeti’s stays (read: 18th-century corset) for her wedding gown, and it’s been going well. Here are some pictures for you lovely readers, and if you want the full scoop you’ll have to make the jump to the big massive blog post on her stays.

I don’t want to bore you all with the details…unless you want to actually know the details…or hire me to make your 18th-century wedding gown…though I suggest you wait for me to finish Preeti’s first…. 🙂

Here are some pictures so far…

Hopefully these will be as fabulous as I hope they are, as there will be a lot of photographs taken of them and quite a bit of pressure for them to look fabulous. She’ll look wonderful for her wedding, and I am really excited about the blending of cultures for this piece (like some of those pieces at the Indian bridal show. Can we say FASHION?!). If it works out the way we envision, it will be amazing. It’s your wedding, it’s time to go balls to the wall, right?

What will you be wearing?

Though I never saw it in person, the photographs of the dress were beautiful! I’d love to see more shots of it here!
