Friends and family flying in from out of town (OOT) need a something little special in their wedding welcome bags.
Welcome bags can be cheap to expensive to make depending on what you want to have in it. From personalized bags and boxes to specialty stamps and M&Ms, your bag can be anywhere from $10 to $50 per person.
To keep things under control, here are 10 must have welcome treats and gifts for wedding guests to enjoy.
Bottled water – Instead of the $8 bottle by the hotel, give 1 nice bubble water that’s just $1.99. Perrier or Evian is a nice touch. Personalization is great, but that bottle will hit the trash as soon as it’s empty.
Maps and tourist guides – Always a big plus! You can usually find a collection of maps in the hotel lobby or at a local gift shop. Some city tourist bureaus also have great maps online that you can print out.

Local treats – Give something local. In Hawaii? Give macadamia nuts. In San Francisco? Ghiredelli chocolate. Local chocolates, pretzels, snacks are a great way to remember a wedding and be fed!
We found a local homemade potato chip maker in Mumbai. Spicey, sweet, salty chips are packaged to the size you want. We are also including cashew nuts, pistachios, and almonds, each packaged on their own.
Mini sunblock, coconut oil, lotion, soap – Indian love coconut oil for their hair. Include a mini bottle so the women can preen and be beautitful for your big day. And don’t forget the men, even they should be pampered.
Coffee and tea – Coffee and tea is a gift your wedding guests can take home and enjoy. Starbucks for Seattle, Dunkin Donuts for the east coast, and special Indian black teas for tea lovers. If you can personalize to pick the right flavors for your guests, you can get extra brownie points. But don’t stress, they will still love you with a lovely cup of jo.
Theme goodies – Having a wedding on the beach? Include a beach towel or flip flops or a cute sun hat. Want to be environmentally friendly? How about a reusable bag?

Thank you note – It is not a goodie to eat but it is a note to say thank to a guest who is flying across the country/world to see your wedding. Use a sweet card in the theme of your wedding colors or get something totally different.
