I am in Mumbai now getting ready for my wedding in India in a couple weeks.
While I have bought almost all my outfits, my friend and I decided to wander around Juhu to the higher end wedding sari and lengha stores. To be honest, we were not impressed with the collections or the price tags.
But we did fall in love with one sari… the concept sari. It is a ready to wear sari, thus shorter in length and easy to wear. The colors were gorgeous in cream and grey-blue, and the designs had light peacock swirls. It would be perfect for a peacock themed wedding! Imagine with the feathers and elegant invites and the grand finale of a peacock concept sari.
If you look close enough you can even see a pink piped border around the sari. And mermaid style brings out any woman’s hips in a sari.
The price tag was spectacular at $1800. Now the dilemma, to buy or not to buy…
