Pinterest.com is a new website that works on the idea of “pinning” photos to boards. Basically, it is the ultimate web based scrapbook you could ever want.
You know how wedding planning is beseeched by cutting photos, pasting them together, and making scrapbooks to take to vendors. Well, why no go virtual and take your wedding planning scrapbooks wherever you go?
Yes, go virtual! Never worry about whether your mom saw the latest photo you emailed her or the article in Vogue magazine. Share it on your board and she will see you update the moodboards, daily, hourly, and by the minute!
Pinterest WILL SAVE YOU BLOOD, TEARS, AND SWEAT. YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN!!
I did not discover Pinterest until eighth months after my wedding. I was shattered. All the photos I printed for mandap ideas and flower garlands were there online, so easily accessible. And yet, I never knew about it (well Pinterest wasn’t around as a site during most of my wedding planning anyway). How I wish I had Pinterest when planning a five day Indian wedding.
But now, dear brides to be, I want you to get on Pinterest and sort out your wedding everything. From theme colors to wedding cake inspiration to even bangle styles, you will find it all there. And the site is a DIY heaven for those who love the touch of hand to everything.
To get started, you can visit my Pinterest page and click around on the moodboards. If you already have an account, be sure to follow us!
And if you are new to the site, the next article in the series will help you on getting started with Pinterest and learning how to pin and repin photos.
The third and last article in our series will be about essential Pinterest boards for wedding planning.
Happy pinning!
