Today we are doing something super special. Together with Rubies and Ribbon, we are having a featured wedding cross-post! Ruby has shared Neeraja & Timothy’s chic sangeet and church wedding, while we are sharing the wedding ceremony and reception. Be sure to check out the happy couple’s events.
Neeraja and Timothy got married in Irving, Texas. They had a traditional Telugu wedding, but with lots of modern decorative elements.
After the wedding, they shared an intimate and oh so sweet gondola ride. Then they had a blast dancing the night away at their reception and stuffing cake in each other’s faces. And with so many smiles abound, this was such a beautiful wedding.
Now for photos and an interview with Neeraja.
What inspired your wedding decor?
We wanted something modern, simple and yet ethereal. We aimed for a champagne palette offset by vibrant colors, lots of structural pieces and soft candle lights, flowers floating.
What was your favourite part of the day?
There are too many to name! We had a gondola ride, a photobooth, and a lot of really fun games during the ceremony itself. At the end of the day, though, the clear and most important thing is the family – pure and simple. The joy on the faces of loved ones, from children to elderly, dancing and blessing and just rejoicing.
What is your advice for brides-to-be?
Communication, patience and celebration in every way. At the end of it, this massive event in your life is a testament to the love between two people. Enjoy the wedding and have lots of fun. Take in all the beauty of becoming a bride and groom united into one.
