If you got through the title of this featured wedding, then you know you are in for a treat! This wedding has everything we love in weddings: colors, happiness, fusion, tradition, modern, vintage. Michelle, the bride, rocks our boots with her western wedding gown and an Indian wedding lengha. And her hair! Have you seen such fabulously gorgeous hair?!
I’ll let you scroll through the photos to droll. In the meantime, Michelle shares her wedding with us:
Tell us about the wedding!
We decided to go with an Indian-Chinese-American wedding because the groom is mixed with Chinese and Cambodian and I’m mixed with Indian and American. We condensed the ceremonies and took the most important parts. The Indian ceremony was full of vibrant colors, some dancing, spiritual principles to guide our journey in life, and blessing from the elders.
The Chinese ceremony was prayers for prosperity and fortune and blessing from the elders. The American ceremony was making lifelong vows to each other.
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
My favorite part of the wedding was the Indian ceremony because of the vivid colors and the ceremonial activities. The ceremony was full of bright colors from the flowers to the fabric on the mandap to the guests and bridal parties attire.
The best activity was the groom getting carried in by the groomsmen! Lots of dancing, music, and laughing and both families coming together.
