Veteran designer Tarun Tahiliani showcased his latest Spring Summer 2013 collection at the opening show of Lakmé Fashion Week Spring Summer in Mumbai, India.
The Spring Summer collection draws on the strengths and trademark techniques like traditional embroideries and revolutionised digital prints that are characteristic of the Tarun Tahiliani design sensibility. From easy ready to wear to occasion wear there was something for everyone.
“The India Modern separates dominating this collection take a fresh look at the needs of the contemporary Indian woman for comfort and luxury. The collection is replete with renewed youthful simplicity so as to help her transition from day wear to loungewear effortlessly.” said Tarun Tahiliani.
The spring collection is an inspiration for a breezy, beach style mehndi and sangeet for brides wanting something colorful but not overbearing. Accents of mango sorbets, peaches, tangerines and azure blues make each outfit decidedly delicious and quirky.
For a bride wanting something more understated but elegant, the whites and ivories are just that. Shifting silhouettes, offbeat kurtas, and concept saris set the trend.
Either way, we see happy, fun, summer weddings to come!
