Today is a beautiful destination wedding in Pune, India. Vanita and Tom are from the United Kingdom and decided to have their wedding where Vanita was from, in Pune.
They had an amazingly sweet ceremony reception. I love Vanita’s wedding lengha, so colorful! The elephants, the color, and even a kilt, make this wedding a memorable experience.
Talking with photographer Nick Rose, he told us about shooting one of his favorite weddings.
This was a stunning three day wedding which took place in Pune India. I flew over from London to capture the days, and it was one of the most amazing weddings that I have had the opportunity to photograph.
The wedding started off with a Mehndi party where all the girls had henna applied and this was followed by and amazing party with all of the friends and family.
The wedding itself tool place at Punyadham Ashram at Kondhwa in Pune. It started with the Groom’s Sehrabandi where the turban’s of all the men are tied and then followed by the Haathi chadna (getting on the elephant). The Baraat procession to the ceremony was spectacular and included all of Tom’s family and friends who had made the trip to India from the UK.
The groom even arrived on an elephant!
The reception took place at the Westin Hotel and Resort in Pune which was an amazing end to a great week.
Thank you Nick for sharing this beautiful wedding! Check out his site at Nick Rose Photography.
Loved her floral jewellery, very nicely and intricately done. Though i love hands full of Heena, her spaced out was equally appealing.. oh, and the contrast of colours in her wedding dress is to die for..
Love the haat phool… Aww they are so pretty
