I was wandering around San Francisco the other day, and hopped into the Westin St. Francis hotel at Union Square. I heard a rumor that they created a macaron wedding cake tower.
Indeed, they did. And yes, it takes the cake. {har har}
Created by Executive Pastry Chef Jean Francois Houdre, the magnificent cake has 1000 macarons, is 6.5 feet tall, and is embellished with butterflies and flowers. Decadent and gorgeous to say the least.
In different sizes, colors, and flavors, these darling French macarons are amazing bien sûr. They come in lovely flavors like lavender, rose water, chocolate blueberry, pistachio, yuza, and almond. What a success this masterpiece would be an Indian wedding.
But ohhhh, how I would dread cutting such a cake!
