Oh lovelies! Today’s wedding will knock that chai out of your hands. Amita and Amit had a romantic, buttery beautiful wedding at the luxury hotel, The Meritage Resort in Napa, California.
I will admit being partial to this wedding, okay very, because I’ve been to the Meritage several times and it is a grand hotel nestled in buccolic wine country. When I saw the team (from their own event staff along with Anais Events and coordinator Planning Elegance) transform upper deck into an Indian oasis, I was floored.
Just.SO.PRETTY.
With a palette of warm colors in reds, pinks, and oranges, the decor pulls together the scenery of green vines and rustic earth.
Before I get into our interview with Amita, let’s talk about her wedding lengha.
Did you faint? Shall I get you some water?
Isn’t the bride a maharani?! Those dripping hira moti (diamond/pearl) necklaces and tikkas, the gorgeous lengha skirt in pinks and golds with a touch of green; Amita’s wedding lengha is both classic and modern.

Tell us about the wedding!
We wanted to get married in a beautiful and romantic place. A place that would be a bit off the beaten path.
We looked all over wine country and fell in love with the Meritage.
What was the inspiration for your wedding?
The inspiration came through our love for an elegant simplicity.
What was the hardest part about wedding planning?
Deciding on decor-there were so many options!! One better than the other !
Did you do any DIY (do it yourself) or special projects/things at the wedding?
I labeled all the wine bottles that we gave as favors with my family. It was a calming activity amidst all the chaos.
We had an outdoor Sangeet -we did Sparklers at the end-It was beautiful!
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
The actual wedding-just him and I in the mandap getting married!
What 3 words of advice do you have for future brides/grooms-to-be?
