Today’s sweet couple, Pulvy and Aman, were married during a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony held at the San Jose Sikh Temple.
Pulvy wore a gold and red lengha dripping with a multi-strand kundan necklace and mini kalirees.
Feel free to put out that tissue box and drool!
Their wedding reception design was inspired by the Roaring 20’s. America’s famous art-deco time period inspired an overall ‘Great Gatsby’ theme with an all white color palette. Tables were topped with large pluming feather centerpieces accompanied by white orchids, lilies, and hydrangeas.
Bands of crystals dripped from the tops of vases down to the complimenting striped white linens, creating just the right amount of sparkle and pizzaz. Gold chargers, gold stationery frames and gold chivari chairs brought in the classic metallic element of the art-decco style.
A custom monogram of Pulvy and Aman’s initials was created from the inspiration of the Atlas font used in the most recent film rendition of Gatsby. The A & P were incorporated into the stationery, and the indoor and outdoor lighting motifs. Guests were invited to indulge in the sweets buffet, which included all white candies and desserts sitting atop gold cake stands with drop crystals.
And perhaps the ultimate in sweet endings, the towering 5-tier cake stood alone on a custom-made glass table, with pin spots below, highlighting a hanging crystal beaded chandelier.
Instead of a traditional guest book, they opted for a guest tractor! Friends could sign the tractor trucks, as a keepsake.
