Monica & Karishma have been top designers in the international fashion industry for two decades, but their designs are anything but outdated. JADE features a blend of 1920’s experimentation with 1960’s glamor for outfits that are majestic and modern.
JADE hit the runways in hues of blush – soft pastels, mainly pink, were paired with beaded embellishments and bohemian motifs. The long skirts and dull golds and greys create a mystical look, one that can be worn by any fashionista who refuses to be tied down by just one style decade!
I love the weaving patterns and high-waisted silhouette on this white gown – it’s flattering and gorgeous enough for a wedding gown. The detailed top blends seamlessly into a flowing, simple skirt. And the backless aspect is super sexy!
The use of off-whites was a popular theme in this collection – a very strong resemblance to dreamy clouds. Any of these shades would be perfect for a wedding – especially a spring/summer one!
My favorites include this beaded gown with a cutout pattern on the skirt’s border. The shimmery fringe and beads on the top are stunning, and the leaf-like designs accentuate an otherwise plain, flowing skirt.
I also liked this beautiful light grey skirt with a nature-inspired pattern. The studded bead borders add a bold touch to the long skirt, and the simple top keeps the attention where it belongs.
Showstopper Lisa Hayden floated across the runway in a gorgeous pink and gold gown. I love the ombre effect of the long, flowing skirt and the intricate beaded detail on the top. I can hardly tell whether Lisa’s radiance comes from her beauty or the shimmery gown!
Monica & Karishma did an excellent job reminding us what it’s like to be the star of your own dream – quite literally! Each design had a surreal, heavenly element to it – from the light colors to the delicate beaded designs. JADE is a great inspiration for New Age glamour with the utmost sophistication.
