Glitter and glam is all about today’s wedding! We’re thrilled to feature Atlanta wedding photographer and BFRedBook member Jamie Howell.
Farjana and Sahel’s reception was full of modern glam with uplighting, crystal hangings, and soft hues. Farjana wore a burgundy marsala lengha with pink skirt and gold embroidery. The bridesmaids wore Tiffany blue saris.

Tell us about the wedding
Our wedding was a Bengali-Muslim wedding which took place in Atlanta, GA. We tried our best to keep everything modern yet traditional at the same time.
What was the inspiration for your wedding?
We were inspired by both of our parents weddings and wanted to keep many of the traditions alive.
What was the hardest part about wedding planning?
The hardest part about wedding planning was to choose our photographer. We wanted a very specific look and we were so lucky to have Jamie Howell as our photographer. Jamie blew us away with his work!
Did you do any DIY (do it yourself) or special projects at the wedding?
We had a multiple-day wedding and many of the decor/floral arrangements during the first two days were DIY but the main events were taken care of by the respective vendors as we both wanted to be as worry-free as possible on the big day.
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
Our favorite part of the wedding was really to see all our family and friends fly down to Atlanta from New York during a terrible storm, getting stuck in several different airports just to be with us. We have never felt more loved! We were also pretty obsessed with our beautiful cake! Both of our best friends helped deliver the cake and decorate it with fresh flowers.
What advice do you have for future brides/grooms-to-be?
Everything comes together.
Remember to have as much fun as possible during the entire wedding planning process. If you feel as if wedding-planning is more stressful than enjoyable, stop and start all over again. You should make it a priority to enjoy every bit of this special moment in your life.
