Durga and Bharat had a fantastic traditional South Indian wedding in the core of Hyderabad’s culture and magnificence. The luxury Trident Hotel in Hyderabad hosted the elegant affair, complete with glowing staircases and colorful drapings.
Durga and Bharat have a sweet story: theirs is a love marriage, which sprouted from an 8 year long relationship. How adorable!
The wedding venue was decorated traditionally, with lots of blue and red decor with gold accents. Many red roses gave a truly intimate feel for the events. The indoor ceremony and reception was beautifully lit from above, casting a magical glow on the procession.
Durga’s favorite event was the sangeet, where her close family and friends surrounded her and simply danced the night away in each other’s loving company. Her mehndi was filled with lots of family bonding as well.
Durga had two beautiful South Indian silk sarees for her wedding ceremonies. The red and green saree is intricately detailed with gold prints, and the gold and pink saree really stands out with its bright palette. Both looks were accompanied with some stunning jewelry sets and flowered braids.
The groom wore a simple white outfit for the religious rituals, in traditional South Indian style.
For the reception, the couple changed into darker outfits – the bride in a flowing red and black anarkhali and the groom in a dashing black sherwani.
Durga’s experienced advice for making the most of the big day: “It’s your day. Just enjoy it to the core.”
Thanks Durga and Bharat for sharing your wedding with us! We wish you all the best!
