Sometimes all you need is a private ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and nature. Preeti And Kaustubh did just that. The wedding was amongst close family and friends at their residence located in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. They utilized the woodsy property as the backdrop for their special day of sharing traditions of their culture and religion.
Photographer Derek Halkett tell us about the wedding!
They wanted to keep the wedding low profile and traditional so that they could enjoy the day together as newly weds. Preeti and Kaustubh worked hard to keep the wedding within their budget, while not sacrificing the details. Wedding photography was very important to the couple and I was honored to part of their day. For decoration, the mandap was had with bright red, purple, and yellow fabrics and was under a large tent for guests to have shade.
To share in the special day, they had the help of several family members and friends in setting up the Ganesh puja, while other guests led the Varmala, Mangalsutra and Sindoor ceremonies.
Thank you for sharing this amazing and colorful sari filled South Indian wedding!
