Today’s feature is a beautiful, happy late spring wedding at Brier Creek Country Club in North Carolina. The bride’s bright ensemble, the yellow flower accents, and the temperate spring day make for a pretty ceremony.
Tina and Richard are both upbeat, active people – so they decided to have their fusion Hindu-American wedding outdoors. They incorporated elements from Tina’s Hindu culture – such as clothing, mandap, and some rituals – and from Richard’s American upbringing – like a country club setting and traditional reception elements. The result is a cheerful fusion blend of love and celebration.
Tina wore a stunning orange and red lehenga, which stands out so perfectly against the greenery and scenic backdrop. She wore henna, gold jewelry, and all the fixings of a traditional Hindu bride.
Richard matched his bride with a sharp white sherwani and matching red scarf. The bride and groom’s families both opted to wear Indian clothes to the wedding ceremony.
You’ll notice lots of flower decor on and around the mandap – yellow flowers, red rose petals, jasmine and lotus petals all came together for a potpourri-like mix of color and springtime.
The reception featured a simple sit-down dinner with an adorable cupcake tier so guests could have their choice of tasty dessert.
Tina and Richard changed into Western attire for the reception and dance, with the bride looking blushing and beautiful in her white gown. I love that they took lovely photos outdoors to make the most of the spring setting around them.
Lots of love to Tina and Richard!
