We’re taking The Big Fat Indian Wedding across the world today to picturesque New Zealand! We are so excited about this stunning wedding.
Photographer Michael at Vignoto Photo shared with us a little about bride Pumudi and groom Neil’s big day. Apparently, it was forecasted to rain and everyone was prepared for a wet day. Having just photographed a rainy wedding, Vignoto Photo was ready. The storm clouds were there the morning of the wedding, and it was looking pretty ominous.
Then, it suddenly wasn’t ominous anymore. The clouds cleared to reveal a beautiful, sunny sky. The weather cleared up and allowed for the vineyard wedding to go off without a hitch!
Both Pumudi and Neil’s outfits were bright and vibrant against the scenery at the Mission Estate Winery. We especially loved Pumudi’s elegance and poise in her white gown. Her bridesmaids had gorgeous blush pink floor length dresses that had flattering draping to match.
Thushan, Pumudi’s brother, was one of the photographer’s closest friends and was a witness at his own wedding. He mentioned that if he had a best man, Thushan would have been it. That is one of the reasons why Michael was so keen on making sure his photos were just right.
In the end, as you can see, the photos were a showcase of a bride and groom very close to his heart.
Michael ended his information about this wedding with, “I hope you enjoy a little slice of their day where a Sri Lankan girl and a Kiwi boy married.” How incredibly sweet is that?
Congratulations Pumudi and Neil and we wish you many happy times ahead!
