Lovelies, we have the best treat for you today! One of our lovely Red Book Vendors, TM’s Makeup Artistry, has submitted a beautiful styled shoot for us to feast our eyes on. This luxury styled shoot spanned over two days at the opulent Elliston Vineyard Mansion in Sunol, California. Day one brings us delicious bright magentas and golds focusing on a typical North Indian wedding, from the Mehendi and Sangeet Ceremony to the reception and dinner.
The shoot was a collaborative initiative of photographers, videographers, models, henna artists, jewelry designers, fashion designers, spearheaded by Timsi Malhotra, bridal hair & makeup expert at TM’s Makeup Artistry. There were four different styles with four different models, each adorning a style true to the event and ceremony it being photographed for.
We talked to Timsi all about this lovely shoot. Take it away Timsi!
Since we did four different looks: each of it had a special angle to it. The Mehendi look was shot with freshly applied henna on the hands with soft, fresh-faced makeup & a pouffy, messy braid. The jewelry was all in antique gold and the outfit in pastel green anarkali.
The engagement look was an elegant, pretty look with a pink wrap-around lehenga styled saree. The makeup was a bright smoky eye, pink lips, classy clean updo with some cute artificial flowers. The jewelry was a Polki neck piece with long dangling earrings complemented by maang teeka, hath phool & bangles.
The wedding look was a full look from head to toe, bright colored henna on the hands, red jardozi worked lehenga with a purple blouse & net dupatta, glitter glam eyes & a high updo & full kundan set for the next, pretty earrings, hathphool, head accessories, nose ring and bridal bindis on the forehead.
Reception Look had a cut crease eye makeup, side swept pin curled hair do with a very heavy peacock blue high collared Achkan & a bright pink skirt. The jewelry was specifically heavy for the head with side jhoomar & tikka, big earrings to compliment the glittery outfit.
Inspiration was the typical north indian styled weddings catering to an entire array of ceremonies studded with jewels, colorful designer outfits & extraordinary jewelry.
Timsi’s advice to all the to-be brides; Plan ahead, not last minute, always opt in for trials and consultations and do some research, save some inspiration photos for the look you desire with you so the end result best resonates with who you are and your personal style!
