Lisa and Tushar combined both of their cultures with both an Indian and America ceremony. Lisa was absolutely breathtaking in the burgundy and gold wedding sari Tushar’s mom brought her from India.
Tushar entered on a horse with his niece led by singing and dancing. The bride has not yet entered yet at this point, but Lisa could watch all the activities going on from her suite at the Vinoy Renaaissance Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida. After Lisa’s family welcomed him she was escorted in next by her three brothers.
The ceremony starts with the jai mala followed by the poojas. As the ceremony went on the sunlight backlight the light smoke from the fire and it was beautiful. After the Hindu ceremony ended, it was time for an outfit change and the American ceremony and reception!
I LOVE Lisa’s gown, it was light blush with lace detail and cap sleeves and a layered tulle skirt. Her bridesmaids and the Michele Renee team got her ready for the next ceremony. Tushar changed into a black suit with a silver bowtie.
Lisa and Tushar said the vows and then put a letter to each other in a wine box for their first anniversary. Their ceremony was at sunset, and the twinkle lights in Straub park glittered away. The reception décor was simple and elegant with pink and blush sequined accents.
Their favor was a little elephant tea light which signifies good luck.
The reception started off in true Bollywood fashion followed by toasts, including a group toast from all of Tushar’s groomsmen. Later in the evening they had a tower of elephant shaped cake pops and donut hole station.
