Bride Julissa comes from a religious Mexican family, and Kamal from a religious Indian family. They knew they could not get married in the temple, so they wanted the ceremony to be extra special and join the cultures. Fairy Godmother A Wedding and Event Company found the perfect spot at Seven Oaks Country Club because not only did Seven Oaks exhibit the elegance of a well-decorated indoor space, it had the luscious rolling greens while still remaining spectacularly private.
For the wedding palette. Julissa wanted soft blush colors for the entire wedding. Kamal, on the other hand, wanted bright and vivid colors. The bride loves flowers, and the groom loves live music. To balance their wishes, we blended soft blush colors for the girls and for the linens and still add lots of bright flowers. This design concept made Kamal happy with all of the bright tones, and Julissa happy with the soft touches and lots of flowers.
Pastor Kirk put together a list of things the bride to help bring her traditional Christian heritage to the wedding. The ceremony was a traditional Christian service, with a twist! The ceremony was hosted outdoors on the greens behind the Seven Oaks clubhouse where the reception would follow. Beneath an arbor draped with bright-white linens, topped with the vibrant florals that Kamal had wished for, centered perfectly with an ornate glass chandelier setting the scene for Kamal and Julissa to say “I do!”
The couple were eloquently framed by two tall, slender crystal vases positioned atop matching pedestals draped with gold-sequin linens. This venue was the perfect choice for the couple as it satisfied all the couple’s desired elements of indoor/outdoor wants and needs, and who doesn’t love an aisle adorned with rose petals?!
Topping off the wedding reception was a live 3-piece band, who sang during their ceremony and during their cocktail hour while guests mingled and munched. The reception decor featured a seating chart on a mirror, a hanging cake, a boxed green backdrop accented with gorgeous draped florals and a gold frame sat behind the sweetheart table.
The hanging cake had orange dahlias, pink ranunculus, and red hanging amaranths dangling while sitting on a swing. It was both romantic and chic, all in one!
Like most Indian weddings, there are plenty of wardrobe changes. After the ceremony, Julissa switched in a long red gown and Kamal sported a red velvet jacket for his suit.
Kamal and Julissa’s wedding was a truly magical day, from start to finish. The blending of two families as one, with your best girls and guys at your side, could make any day a dream come true. As the night continued, guests were fully immersed into the lives of Kamal and Julissa. The couple was celebrated with the exchanging of gifts, the traditional bouquet and garter tosses, speeches, and dancing the night away!
