Hiren and Priyanka contacted Weddings by Emily Charlotte with a clear brief – a Hindu wedding with a difference! Having been to a number of weddings locally a unique setting was high on the priority list so, with its stunning 360 degree vineyard views across the Tuscan/Umbrian boarder, Borgo Tre Rose was ticking the boxes.
Planning a Hindu wedding in Italy was lots of fun; everything from tracking down a priest to ensuring we didn’t set the landscape alight with the fire pit! From the beginning the bride and groom were actively involved in the planning of their fabulous Tuscan wedding ensuring they respected their religious traditions, whilst having their own stamp on things too, and so the wedding was an exciting mix of cultures and customs.
Instead of a Mendhi ceremony the evening before the wedding, celebrations began with a relaxed pizza party at a nearby hotel; a great opportunity for guests to get to know one another before the wedding day, and an excuse to enjoy the Italian food (as if we needed one!)
The following morning my team and I were up at the crack of dawn (quite literally 5am) and straight down to the venue to meet with the florist, finish the mandap decoration and get everything up and running.
The wedding was a wonderful affair. A 10am ceremony (particularly early for the Italian way of life!), lunch on the terrace, a relaxed aperitif in the sun, a wine tasting amongst the vines and dinner around the pool before finishing off with dancing until the early hours. Among all of this the gorgeous bride managed three outfit changes too!
The couple certainly achieved their vision of a unique Hindu wedding, with many of the guests saying it was the best wedding they had been to!
Thank you Emily for sharing Priyanka and Hiren’s stylish Tuscan wedding!
