The City of Pearls witnessed the grand Hindu wedding of GVK scion Keshav Reddy (son of Aparna (Pinky) and Sanjay Reddy) and Veena Reddy, daughter of Chinnappa Reddy.
The #KeshVee wedding, photographed by Stories by Joseph Radhik and Ravi Studios featured a star studded wedding in all of India’s fashionable glory.
Vogue India spoke to Pinky Reddy:
“The wedding spanned across five days and was planned by my husband Sanjay Reddy, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, and me. The celebrations started with a traditional ceremony with Vedic chanting, where everyone blessed the bride and groom. This was followed by a high-tech after-party. Set in a hangar surrounded by mirrors, there were robots, all sorts of tech-forward gadgets and gizmos and intimate evening was video mapped” (Kinda nerdy amirite?!)
The following night was the sangeet ceremony held at GMR Grounds in Hyderabad. The celebrity evening saw the Bachchans, Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Natasha and Adar Poonawalla, Sridevi with daughters Khushi and Jhanvi Kapoor, designers Manish Malhotra and Gaurav Gupta, and plenty more.
While the entire family showed off their moves to popular Dollywood South Indian numbers, classic Bollywood represented with Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez.
The Carinal
The all-day carnival was epic level of fun and craze. Eight bars, five restaurants served 1,600 guests at the Reddy home. The one-of-a-kind celebration was brimming with A-list celebrities and cocktails.
Pinky says, “We wanted to do something different at the wedding, so I thought we should have an all-day open house thing, like a mela with everything people could ever want—think games, photo booths, fresh sugarcane juice and more. My husband Sanjay is very creative, while the concept of the carnival was one I came up with, the ideation was fully his. The carnival was implemented by Jay and Sonali who own and run E-Factor Entertainment, Delhi…They were very hands-on and were just brilliant.”
Wedding Outfit Inspiration
“Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla designed most of the wedding clothes. I was wearing ensembles by different Indian designers like Manish Malhotra, Raghavendra Rathore, Faraz Manan from Dubai, Anamika Khanna, Tarun Tahiliani, Bina Modi and Raw Mango for the ceremonies. I specially got traditional Kanjivaram saris from Tulsi Silks in Chennai for the family and got work done on it by Abu-Sandeep.”
Veena wore classic South Indian bridal headpieces and sarees assisted by AJSK. Check out the rest of the celeb Bollywood weddings of 2017.
