Michael and Nadia’s gorgeous wedding at the Venetian Yacht Club on Long Island is simply spectacular—we are so excited to share it with you!
Their wedding style was contemporary with dark purple and bright pink flowers with gold accents. Their mandap was truly breathtaking, draped elegantly with velvet fabric and surrounded by purple lighting and a shimmering gold backdrop.
The reception decor was navy blue and white with silver accents, with a stage made for royalty with hanging crystal candles.
While all of that was beautiful, what is perhaps the best part of it all is the duo’s emotionally charged love story. Michael and Nadia have known each other since they were 12 years old and started dating when they were 17. Nadia told us a bit about their love story. Take it away Nadia!
Our relationship is like no other. We’ve been there for each other’s bad and good times and supported each other through every milestone in life there is thus far and forever will be each others rock. We are each others biggest supporters.
Our wedding was about us. We’ve been living together a year prior to the wedding and [the wedding] was something we both planned together. Every detail was picked out by us—it wasn’t very easy to agree, but we compromised.
The hardest part of planning was the timeline. We both have full time jobs so getting time to meet with vendors was difficult. Planning a wedding sounds easy, but once you start there’s so many details involved that we didn’t expect. Also making final decisions were difficult . Creating the itinerary for all the vendors and bridal party was the toughest.
Our favorite part was the wedding day, taking our seven steps (vows) and becoming bonded for life.
I designed my lengha myself. The fabric I chose was velvet and both were made India. I wanted a simple, elegant and timeless outfit.
You looked simply radiant Nadia! Congrats to Michael and you!
