This whimsical Hindu wedding is full of fun! Taking place at the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois features a large indoor garden venue space, a carousel, and a massive dessert table. Yum!
Nimisha shares her wedding story with us.
Tell us a little a bit about your wedding!
Crystal Gardens is a beautiful venue that speaks for itself. With the floor to ceiling glass panes, view of the ferris wheel and skyline, palm trees and fountains, we didn’t feel the need to add too much else to the decor. Simple pink flowers and candles in large glass cylinders with uplighting were all we needed.
How did you choose the wedding outfits?
Nimisha chose to wear a traditional Indian dress to the ceremony and changed into something more fun for the reception. Drew wore the same Theory suit to both the ceremony and reception.
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
The most important thing to us was to be able to spend time with our guests. Drew is from Ohio and many of his family members and friends were from out of town. We wanted to ensure that the day was planned to not feel rushed.
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
Our favorite part of the day was spending time with the bridal party prior to the wedding ceremony. We spent three hours on a party bus driving through Chicago and stopping to take pictures. Much of the bridal party were out-of town guests and it was enjoyable to be able to spend quality time with them on our wedding day.
Thank you for sharing this sweet Chicago Hindu wedding!
