We are sharing a fun and masti filled Punjabi wedding. Bride Gehna and groom Mohit live in Australia and had their wedding back in India and their pre-wedding photos in Australia.
Let’s hear the love story of MOGEH (Mohit + Gehna)!?
As we both love beaches, we decided our pre-wedding shot location would be Sydney, Australia. With photographer Wedding Dreams, we went to four landmark locations – Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Bondi Beach, and the Botanical Gardens.
We had our wedding last fall in Jalandhar at the White Diamond Palace. It was a great Punjabi wedding with lots of masti and fun with friends and family.
We choose this day as my birthday falls in this month and my husband said “as you were born in this month so this is the best month for lifetime.”
My dream wedding was to get all my friends in same colour dress code for Haldi and have fun as much as possible as that the start of your big day with Haldi ceremony.
I wanted my husband’s name to be on the back side of the hand for the mehndi, to let everyone see it.
As I was crazy for lehngas so I wore lehnga on 3 of my ceremonies (wedding, ring, mehandi)
I planned my entrance– which was very traditional as used to be in old days – holding the pallu with the hand (same where I had mehandi of my husband name). I also designed the chadar full of rose and kalere.
Our cake said “She said yes, as he asked”. I wanted to show the bond between us where we both were ready happily to bond for years and ages.
Advice for Punjabi brides who love to wear white/off-white colours: go for them for pre-wedding shoots. Punjabi brides are traditionally not allowed to wear white/black for an year.
