Beloved Bollywood superstar Sridevi Kapoor died of a heart attack, her family says. She was 54. She was in Dubai with family for her nephew's, Mohit Marwah, wedding.

She made her debut at the young age of four years in the Tamil film "Thunaivan" in 1969. She was 4 at that time. She also worked in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films.

Sridevi appeared in over 300 films spanned over five decades, holding on the most prestigious and longest film careers.

She starred in classics, "Mawaali" (1983), "Tohfa" (1984), "Mr India" (1987) and "Chandni" (1989) kept her at the top in the box-office game, her outings like "Sadma" (1983), "ChaalBaaz" (1989), "Lamhe" (1991), and "Gumrah" (1993) earned her critical acclaim. In 2012 she returned to the silver screen in Gauri Shinde's "English Vinglish".

As a female actress, she was one of the only women who did not need a male actor to headline the film.

Her style and sensibilities inspired millions of women across India and the world.

We are going to miss her. Sridevi, rest in eternal peace wherever you maybe.
