You probably know of Kalki Fashion because of their fabulously beautiful wedding saris and lehengas.
Yea, swoon.
But they also have a large, and frankly astonishing collection of party, ready to wear, and daily saris and lehengas.
So when Kalki Fashion reached out to me to send a sari, I was so excited. And what I received in the mail, didn’t disappoint.
This is a purple printed sari made in half bhagalpuri silk and halk crepe. Kalki sells the sari for $33, which includes the unstitched blouse and beading on the sari (the edging work). For this price, the sari is a steal!
The Packaging
I like how the sari is folded with a layer of tissue paper. It has the new sari feel while also keeping it safe from any bleeding or crushing. But I think for an extra layer of sweet packaging, it should be wrapped in thick tissue paper with a jute ribbon, instead of plastic. Makes you feel uber special then.
The Look
The wrap around part of the sari is dark magenta with repeating flower patterns, and the pallu is black with white tie dye baubles. The fall border is a royal purple, while the blouse is royal purple with black and white border. The colors are strong but complement each other well.
And while I love the colors, this wouldn’t be a sari I would buy on my own. Seeing it in person however, makes me fall in love with it. There’s something, enchanting about the style.
The best part is that the fabric is lightweight and would suit small statured people, like myself, very well. Plus the contrasting look of the pallu to the main body of the sari and geometric patters, are super hot today.
The Verdict
For the price, you cannot beat this deal. Plus, for an additional $25, they can stitch your blouse and include a petticoat. That’s less than $60 for a complete sari, which is darn amazing. And, the quality is great, so you know it will last some fabulous parties.
