When it comes to gifting wedding favors and offerings, the options are limitless! From cupcakes to pedas, bangles to jhumkas, every thoughtful gifts represents an important part of a momentous occasion. Kottanz Gifting Solutions, based in Bangalore, India, understands the value of presentation and first-impressions. The company creates beautiful gift packages and boxes to present each precious little memoir in.
Kottanz products include envelopes, boxes, and containers which can be used to store any assortment of wedding gifts and favors – from cookies to invitations. The company takes pride in its eco-sustainability – each package is hand-woven by local women weavers, who receive a personal income to help support their families.
Kottanz hires around 30 women from a southern village in Tamil Nadu, India. These women handcraft the products and receive a direct income for themselves and their families. If that wasn’t loving and friendly enough, Kottanz also uses biodegradable palm tree leaves and ethical dyes to create their woven baskets and products!
Kottanz believes that each product should serve as a gift that keeps on giving: a beautifully decorated gift package for recipients and a progressive opportunity for women and local communities. The personalization that goes into each product is obvious from the meticulous designs and the customized color options available to suit a customer’s wedding needs.
I was lucky enough to receive a package of Kottanz’s products to review, and I was very impressed with the quality. The bright colors, embedded gemstones, and careful weaving made wonderful gift presentations – if I were to receive something wrapped in a Kottanz product, I would get excited at the possibility of keeping the box itself!
This scroller/pouch was in two of my favorite colors, which apparently look awesome woven together! The bright colors are adorned with ribbon and flower, which add to the “special occasion” look that the package boasts. Kottanz sells these as scroll packaging or cookie pouches – used to deliver wedding invitations or tasty treats!
The orange and magenta potli stands out to me as a useful item to incorporate into wedding ceremonies. For bangle exchanges between the bride and female relatives to gifting sweets or jewelry during the mehndi, the potli is large enough to hold important gifts used in the marriage. Plus, the unique drawstring cover on the basket keeps the item inside a surprise!
This wide blue and green box can serve many purposes, from holding jewelry to gifting cupcakes! It’s sturdy and holds its shape, so it will be able sustain some handling. I loved the jeweled embellishment on the top and the gold ribbon across it – the box is so amazing that I hope the gift inside lives up to its packaging!
This lovely pouch is made of softer woven leaves, but it serves its purpose for gifting money or corporate stationary if you’re using it for non-wedding events. The two-tone color scheme is fun, but not over-the-top – plus, the jewel in the center adds a fun sparkle to an otherwise standard pouch. I think it’s quite versatile, but Kottanz offers better products for holding fragile jewelry or sweets.
I found the adorable pink basket hidden inside the potli when I first opened the package – and its small, cute shape immediately put a smile on my face! I would use this for gifting any individual product during an important wedding ritual – such as the bride and groom exchanging rings or feeding each other sweets. The basket itself is quite sturdy, and the ribbon and flower woven onto the front add a special touch to the pretty package.
Overall, I am very impressed with the effort and energy that Kottanz has put into their gifting products. I can tell that they want to share the love and support that they internally promote within their community to all of their customers.
I highly recommend the use of Kottanz for wedding packaging – it truly has every base covered, from packaging invitations to sweets! The ability to customize the colors of each product is a huge benefit to gifting with Kottanz – you can match the vessels to your wedding color scheme!
Plus, you’ll become part of a wonderful chain of empowerment that begins with Kottanz’s work environment. Congratulations to Kottanz for helping the earth and looking cute while doing it!
