Today’s wedding takes us across the globe. From Iceland to Brazil and Philadelphia to San Francisco, Mika and Neil are a globetrotting couple.
Their wedding took place in Tucson, Arizona at the Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch and the reception in Los Angeles, California at the Biltmore Hotel.

Are you ready to hear more?! Mika talks about how she meet Neil and their engagement.
Neil was my first online date on OkCupid during an unexpected three month work project that took me from my home in Philadelphia to San francisco.
While we are both Indian our families hail from different parts of India– myself from West Bengal and Neilfrom Gujarat. It’s led to a rediscovery of our cultures and traditions. During the wedding, we saw these two similar but different backgrounds merge into one beautiful family gathering. We challenge each other and grow together as a result.
How did Neil propose?
I just took the bar and was vacationing in Brazil before work, Neil said he wanted to celebrate his 30th birthday in Iceland – so we met up and flew there. I had suspicions that Neil might propose but due to the rain Neil couldn’t find that special moment until day 5 of the trip. We flew to the Arctic Circle, north of Iceland to a small island, and above a Puffin cove Neil proposed.
I said yes.
Tell us about the reception lengha!
We are not the flashy sort, but our parents would not stand for plain wedding outfits – myreception dress weighed over 20 lbs! It looked gorgeous but we could barely dance in it! So there was a outfit change for our choreographed finale dance.
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
Hard to pick one moment! Amazing food, music, dance performances, and family bonding over an eleven day period. It was all perfect.
