I hope you had a lovely Diwali, especially for the new brides out there!
Today I have a special post to continue the Louis Vuitton Diwali spirit. In 2010, Louis Vuitton launched a worldwide display campaign to celebrate the light and glory of Diwali.
Not only did all the stores around the world had a coordinated display (and the only time LV has done so for a holiday), Marc Jacobs created a special dress line to sell in the Paris boutique.
The dresses came from vintage saris found throughout India. LV used these old saris to represent the craftsmanship of sari designs and exquisite detailing in the thread work.
Initial sketches of the dresses along with the Goddess Laxshmi.
Vogue India featured Priyanka Chopra in one of the hot dresses for the cover of their October issue.
