What’s more exciting than a sunny California wedding?
A sunny California Indian wedding celebrating both Tamil and Maharashtrian cultures of course. Anadee and Karthik got married over the fourth of July to a spectacular, colorful fusion wedding.
Their adorable, and newly adopted, puppy made an appearance at the wedding too!
Anadee tells us about the wedding and all three outfits she wore!
Tell us about the wedding.
Our wedding was a traditional Hindu style Tamil wedding at the Palmdale Estates in Fremont, California. Our wedding comprised of various hindu rituals and ceremonies. Rituals starts with blessing from family, friends and well wishers.
We wanted to incorporate my (Anadee’s) Maharashtra traditions and Karthik’s Tamil traditions in the ceremony and include western elements into the celebrations such as a cake cutting. We had three dress changes for their wedding. From a nine yard red sari to a purple lengha which complimented the decor and flowers. Karthik wore a silk white Vishati.
What was the inspiration for your wedding?
My parents and in-laws were the inspiration for the wedding. Seeing them happily married for all these years, it is truly special.
