The 2015 Oscars are all about the white, the white, the white. There are so many white dresses and sparkly things on the red carpet this year that I’m not sure if we’re watching a mass wedding, or prom.
With so little color in the red carpet dress collection, let’s look at the colorful outfits first!
Blue sparkle sequin fireworks – most definitely pretty! Reminds me of Marchesa.
Laura Dern sporting a silver metallic dress with a train. I will guess it’s really heavy so good thing she’s not walking much.
America Ferrera wearing a chiffon Jenny Packham dress. I don’t consider such flowy dresses to be red carpet worthy, it’s not the beach after all, but this is just too pretty to say no to.
Emma Stone in a vintage long sleeve dress – the 1920s is alive and kicking.
What do you know! A red dress! An actually red dress by Givenchy worn by Rosamund Pike. Love it, but wishing our legs were all this long.
Anna Kendrick in Thakoon – corel is such an under-loved color.
Jennifer Lopez can show a little less boobage and a little better design cut from Elie Saab.
It’s not the same dress as Jen’s is it? Love the sequins and beading, but again, a bit too much boobage without the boobs.
Oprah in Vera Wang – plus size awesomeness right now.
Kiera, please take the curtains Valentino made for your window off and back on the curtain rod.
Giant silver and white sequins for this silvery shimmer dress for Anna Faris. More prom dress like than wedding or red carpet, it’s still cute…mostly…
A white disco ball dress has never looked so good!
Chloe Grace Moretz in Miu miu – you too, please return the curtain fabric to its rightful owner.
Felicity Jones wearing Alexander McQueen – oh my my, this dress is stunning. No.words.
Jennifer Aniston – Jenn, you’re fun but you wear the same cut and styled dress every year. EVERY FREAKING YEAR. Please find something else to wear.
Lupita Nyongo’s beaded white dress from Calvin Klein steals the show. Beading an entire dress never looked so amazing.
Marion Cotillard in Dior – uhhh, you decide…
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoju – Another example of a gorgeous plus sized dress. The pastel color isn’t a top choice for such a formal event, but it suits Octavia’s skin tone well.
Rene Russo in J Mendel – Loving it – this would be THE wedding dress for any bride.
Sara Haines – fun styled dress that’s not formal and not too informal either.
A white dress with a fin train – I love it, I hate it, I don’t know what to make of it. But, it would be a statement piece for any wedding.
And of course the man of the hour, Neil Patrik Harris and his fiance. Yea, they are adorable together.
Will be updating all evening with more Oscar worthy photos!
