Today we’ve got a cheery, upbeat Midwest wedding with local charm and Indian flair. Jessica and Sayeed met in college – she’s from the midwest originally, where the wedding was held, and he is from India.
The wedding was a beautiful blend of traditional American and Indian cultures. Western dress, cake, and decor met Indian clothes, mehndi, and color palettes.
Many of Sayeed’s family members came from India for the wedding, so it was a great big family occasion. It was actually the first time many members of each family got to meet the other!
The decor featured a colorful, bright scheme of teal blue and magenta pink. From flowers to streamers, this couple made sure that the venue matched the happiness of the occasion.
Jessica wore a traditional white wedding dress with lots of lovely lace. She also took part in the South Asian ritual of wearing mehndi on her hands and arms. The result is a truly breathtaking blend of midwestern grace and Indian flair.
The groom too was a stunner in his teal blue bowtie, which matched the decor. The newlyweds walked into their brightly lit wedding reception to the greeting of sparklers and loving family members.
What a magical night!
