Set against the rugged beauty of the Utah mountains, Amna and Heiko had a beautiful wedding that married one classic Pakistani touches with a traditional Western ceremony. With gorgeous scenery, a gorgeous couple, and gorgeous outfits, this wedding is a knockout.
Bride Amna told us about her beautiful day.
Tell us about your wedding look.
I’d say it was very romantic, glam, and dramatic. I had an Ian Stuart wedding dress, shoes by Sergio Rossi, and my star diamond drop earrings and silver ruby and sapphire bracelet were handmade in Pakistan.
Heiko wore a bespoke morning coat for ceremony and Valentino double-breasted Tuxedo for dinner. His wedding ring was designed by Catherine Ryder, and I had diamonds put on the inside as a cute joke.
What was the ceremony like?
The weather was beautiful and breezy with dramatic clouds in the sky.
Our officiant was a retired immigration judge who used to preside over hearings I argued as an attorney. Our friendship has since grown into one that is very very close. The Flagstaff Deck of the Stein Eriksen Lodge provided stunning vistas for the ceremony.
My brother escorted me down the aisle. I picked him because he is my best friend and we are 15 months apart. I wanted him to share the moment with me. My favorite ceremony memory was the kiss (and wiping lipstick from Heiko’s smiling face).
What was the reception like?
Our wedding cake was a lemon cake with raspberry filling and another layer with rich vanilla chocolate and French vanilla marble with rosewater Bavarian cream filling, ivory fondant outside with gold ribbons and detailing and bunches of red roses cascading down the side.
The decor was dramatic, rich, and vibrant. I wanted the room to reflect opulence and grandeur with a slight homage to my Pakistani heritage with touches of silk fabrics, brocade, gold and riche burgundies.
My favorite memory from the reception was the Father of the Groom’s speech.
