Hello again, readers! We hope you had a lovely weekend.
Today’s wedding is a down-home classic with traditional dresses and a solid week of festivities.
We talked to bride Prerna about her beautiful wedding:
Tell us about the wedding.
After knowing each other for three years, we pretty much had the same vision about our wedding right from the start.
Right after we started dating, Ayush had to leave for London for his Masters where as I was stuck in Pune doing my MBBS. For a whole two years, we faced the dreaded Long-Distance which was as hard as it sounds but it eventually made our relationship much stronger.
Coming from total different family backgrounds, different castes – mine army and his doctors . Our parents couldn’t have been more supportive. They made it happen.
What was the hardest part about planning the wedding?
Selecting the date definitely takes the credit. Ayush wanted to get married in Winter where as I wanted Spring. After a few fights we selected the end of March.
We had pretty much did everything ourselves – the planning and implementation was a cake walk. We had similar tastes and ideas or you can say post fights he would ultimately agrees to my ideas!
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
Just after the Jai mala, amidst the rose petal shower – we just looked at each other. In our eyes we could feel the past, present and future turning together. And all of a sudden we hugged each other an the stage so tightly . It felt so right and so complete.
What 3 words of advice do you have for future brides and grooms-to-be?
Trust and Support (each other)
Thank you, Ayush and Prerna! We wish you guys all the luck and happiness in the world.
