In Mexico, and the United States, people are celebrating the holiday Cinco de Mayo. It literally translates to “5th of May” and is commemorated as the defeat of the French army in 1862 in Pueblo (El Día de la Batalla de Puebla).
Though Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican’s Independence day, it is a historic and significant battle for Mexico. Today people celebrate by holding dances and festivities.
And Mexico is a colorful country, just like India. Why not marry the two together and get a Mexican Indian wedding theme going?! Perfect!
