We’re jetsetting to the land Down Under today for the lovely wedding we are featuring. Harshi and Satnam’s glamorous Punjabi wedding brought together their families from all over the globe, including India, Canada and the U.K.
The guests were treated to traditional pre-wedding events full of delicious food, lots of dancing and laughter.
The festivities began with the bride and groom’s respective Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies, followed by traditional Punjabi Jago and Sangeets the eve of the wedding. There was a surprise performance by the bride’s family and her own cameo in a dance number during the sangeet, making for a memorable occasion.
The wedding ceremony oozed grandeur and elegance, complete with a Rolls Royce that groom Satnam arrived in. No detail was overlooked and it was just sheer perfection. The ceremony was a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony held at the beautiful Sikh Temple in Craigieburn (with 500+ in attendance!).
Post-ceremony, the couple took photos at the picturesque Carleton Gardens in Melbourne. Timeless architecture and striking water features provided the perfect background for photos celebrating Harshi and Satnam’s nuptials.
From traditional roses to fake smoke on the dance floor for effect, the wedding reception was a truly memorable night. Held the day after the wedding at The Peninsula on the Melbourne Docklands, guests sipped cocktails outdoors then wandered in for a The Great Gatsby themed reception. Attendees enjoyed peacock-colored lighting, a photo booth, giant dance floor and more.
