We’re back today with a five-day mega-celebration of love! Infused Studios shot Chanpreet and Lovneet’s beautiful Edmonton, Canada wedding.
The festivities started with sangeets with lots of dancing and fun, of course. That same day, Chanpreet sat for hours to have her intricate mehndi done. The Maiyaan on the third day included an Edmonton Oilers design made with colorful rice for Lovneet, who is a huge fan of the hockey team.
Everyone was careful not to mess up the meticulous design until Lovneet’s uncle grabbed the plate and all the rice crashed to the floor!
On the fourth day, Lovneet arrived for the ceremony on horseback. His sister had managed to hire a horse for the tradition despite the Calgary Stampede happening the same week.
On the fifth day, Chanpreet and Lovneet got to do what they’d wanted since getting married—party! Chanpreet shared some memorable moments: “Honestly, the drive to the gurdwara felt surreal, I felt like I was going to someone else’s wedding and then I’d look down and I was the one all dressed up. I think that was one of my favorite moments.”
Chanpreet continues: “Walking down the aisle with my family, I have never felt so content. I was excited to see Lovneet, and ridiculously happy to be marrying him! During the Doli, when we were sitting in my living room, I looked up and saw all these people, all there for us, from every part of my life, and I felt truly loved as I was being sent off on my new life with my new husband. It was overwhelming but probably one of the moments that will always stay with me.”
Lovneet chimed in as well, saying “I thought how lucky I was to have such a big, caring and loving family that traveled from all over and brought me such joy to the wedding. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my parents just so happy looking over at Chan after we had finished being married and just feeling so overwhelmingly happy. It was the most fun night I’ve had in my life and it felt like it was over in the blink of an eye.”
