Are you ready to be transported to Hawaii for a luxurious and romantic tropical getaway? We just adored Michelle and Vineet’s nuptials so much, we couldn’t wait to share with you dear readers!
We talked to Michelle and Vineet all about their big day. Take it away!
How and when did you meet?
We met in 2011 during our medical residency training at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. We started dating in 2012.
How did the proposal take place?
Michelle and Vineet departed on September 9th, 2014 to the Bahamas. They met Michelle’s parents at the Atlantis for a week-long family vacation of fun in the sun! On September 11th, Vineet mustered up the courage to ask Michelle’s father out for a cocktail where he asked him for permission to marry his daughter. He said yes and gave his future son-in-law his blessing. On September 12th in the evening, during a thunderstorm (one of Michelle’s favorite things), Vineet got down on one knee and proposed to Michelle on the 18th floor balcony overlooking the Caribbean ocean. Michelle of course said yes! The following morning Michelle surprised her parents by showing them her beautiful yellow diamond engagement ring from Tiffany’s! Suzanne, Tom, Vineet and Michelle went out for a wonderful dinner to celebrate the newly engaged couple as well as Tom’s 58th birthday!
What was your fondest wedding moment?
Seeing each other for the first time during our first look and our actual ceremony exchanging vows.
What are some interesting facts about you and your spouse that you would like to share?
We love to travel and try to take a trip every two to three months.
Where do you reside and what are your occupations?
We currently live in Columbus, Ohio and are both hospitalist physicians at Grant Medical Center.
Who were your favorite wedding vendors?
Photographer Clane Gessel & MartinRoberts Designs.
What advice do you have for future brides?
Definitely do a “first look” prior the actual wedding ceremony so that the two of you can truly enjoy the moment together in private. Then start pictures so that most photos are done prior to the ceremony so that you can enjoy cocktail hour with your guests. This also makes your wedding day feel much longer which is great! You’ll definitely want to relish in every moment of such a special and wonderful day!
Congrats Michelle and Vineet! We are so glad you decided to share your special day with us.
