Oh Tamil weddings. You steal my heart. And this traditional Tamil wedding in Malaysia is nothing short of spectacular.
Tell us about your wedding!
Kumaran & I had a traditional Hindu wedding which incorporated with Dharma Shakti vedanta gurukulam. The wedding ceremony was conducted by 4 Darma Shakti gurukulam.
The highlight of the wedding was my entry on beautiful gold swan palki. This swan ride made me feel so special. My heart was beating so fast, worry & excited; so many emotions at once. With all the eyes geared on me as I was carried by my uncles, there love, joy, and laughter. It was a star-like feeling!
When I got off in front of the mandap, Kumaran stood and tied the Thaali around my neck & placed the sindoor on my head.
We decided to have only one event; that gave us time to prepare and do a great job. We had our wedding invite designed uniquely with pictorial timeline, colorful inserts.
Wedding outfits
My first wedding saree was beautiful parrot designer kanjevaram saree with embroidery work that matches Kumaran indowestern outfit from Manyavar.
My second saree, I had a green with pink combination kanchevaram pattu saree, full gold zaari that go along with his Ramraj pattu veshthi. Both my classy yet traditional sarees came from Pothys Boutique.
