An Udaipur wedding never disappoints! Jag Mandir, located on Lake Pichola, is known as the Garden Palace. It’s beauty and location is unmatched.
Wedding Planning company F5 Weddings tells us all about our Marwari couple, Vaishali and Nikhil.
Day 1 was a traditional Marwari Mehendi ceremony, the myra. The event theme was Rajasthani –Padaro Mare Desh. The dress code was yellow and pink. Goomar dancers, traditional folk singers, mehendi artists, lac bangle makers, nail art, parrot reader kept the guest entertained. It was traditional Rajasthani décor.
Our lovely bride and groom entered with band on an open cycle with dhol wala’s. Ladies indulged in some Garba dances to the tunes of the folk singers. A traditional Marwari fashion sajan koth lunch with silver ware and a huge variety of traditional food was lined up.
The evening was followed by Sangeet titled Jashn-e-Ishq at the romantic Zanana Mahal. The dress code was Indian fusion. A royal welcome was extended to all guests with rose petal showers, horses with men, Rajasthani folk dancers and the Navy band. Vaishali and Nikhil made a celestial entry with white fairies surrounding them. The evening was followed by family performances and later by the DJ who played till the wee hours.
Day 2 was the Firangi themed Luncheon. The décor was very English with lots of flower elements. Sunshine and pastel colors adorned the venue, with a big chasma photo booth cut out. Ring toss, Jenga, caricature and other activities kept the guests enthralled. Percussionist Lalit took the party grooving with the DJ jamming live. Live gola counter, the kulfi counter was a hit amongst many. The concluding act was the Wishing Balloon, where all guests made a wish for the couple and hundreds of balloons were released into the dusky Udaipur sky.
The mandap overlooked Lake Pichola with a full moon right above it. The baraat made an unusual entry via boats. The bride entered to her self-recorded background score of the wedding vows she narrated for the groom Nikhil. It was romantic and etheral.
The cool winter breeze and open skies witnessed an all-white reception of the newlyweds. The couple entered under the cold pyro tunnel created by family and friends. The décor consisted of high centrepieces, candles and twinkling fairy lights. Indian jazz band Maddy Sharma and Jojo performed an aquatic set of music and all the guests went to meet and bless the new couple on stage.
